Hello Chris,

Thank you very much for your video. I appreciate your personal work and your student's work in preparing this video. I know how it's difficult. Moreover, it takes a lot of time. You showed us your town Volos, its history, caltural and educatuinal centers. It is a brilliant film. We saw a lot of beautiful landscapes ard attractive sights to see and visit. As for us, our film is not as brilliant as yours. My students felt nervous and their speach isn't fluent. But we hope you won't be srtict toward us.

Dear Chris,

Thank you for you letter. I am OK. I would like you to say "many thanks"
to Valantis Kostoulias, Tassos Terezis, Agapi Karvouni, Anastasia
Melachrinou, Yiota Patidou, Alex Lomsantze, Bill Selai, Michael Elpidis,
Catherine Giannioti, Athina Daskala and Marina Kelaidoni. We read their
notes with great pleasure.   We've known some information about their
hobbies and interests.

Let's try to ask them for something that can be interesting for them,
We shoud take into consideration their age and tendency. A agree that
they are a bit reluctant having their pictures taken. They rebell
against everything and everybody. But I'm sure that we'll find someting
that can capture their attention. What about making video, for example?
Have you got any suggestions?

Hope to here from you soon.

Take care,

Marina

Dear Marina,
How are you? It's been some time since my last email.
Things have been rather hectic here!
I showed your presentation to my class and they really liked it.
They wrote a few things about themselves.
They are a bit reluctant having their pictures taken. I 'll try and persuade them maybe.
They are in that age now that they feel they are getting older and not are not so spontaneous are they used to.
I know it's just a simple text that I am sending, but that's all I got.
Take care,
Chris.

Happy New Year

Here's a picture of all my students.

Chris

13.12.2012
Dear Chris,
Thanks  for your letter. All your students made wonderful
cards with descriptions of animals. It's great. Tomorrow I'll show them my
students.

After that I will ask them for writing short notes about
hobby or pets they have or something they are interested in. I hope it
will be interesting for you and your pupils. Would you like to do the
same thing? How about your students' photos? We are looking forward to
waiting them.

I see that your students have good writing skills.
Unfortunately  my pupils are not so good at writing. They do a lot of
mistakes. How many English lessons do you have during the week? We have
only three.

Take care,
Marina

13.12.2012
Dear Marina,
Thanks for your email.
I just asked for the address because according to the cambridge site we had to send them by mail to your school.
It's ok then. I'll email you the pictures. Just got them all right now.
I'm also sending a note in Russian that one of my students' mother wrote for you.
Hope you like them all!
Take care!
Chris.
P.S: What's the next step???

12.12.2012
Dear Chris,

Thank you for your letter. I've just seen 3
uploaded card with written notes made by your students. I was fascineted
by cards abour a giant panda and a tiger. They are wonderful. My
students only painted and write nothing on the cards. I am going to ask
them for writing about their pets or their hobby. I hope it will be
interesting for you.

Why are you going to send you cards by posting? It's easier to do that through the Internet by e-mail.

I am looking forward to receiving your students' cards and letters from you.

Take care,

Marina

10.12.2012
Dear Marina,
I've taken photos of the cards and I'll send them to you
in a day or two. (there's one more student who's been ill for quite
some time and I'm waiting for his card)

I've uploaded 3 of the 10 that I'm sending you in the Cambridge site.
Can you please write the address of your school so as to send you the cards?
Thank you! Take care!
Chris Kiriakidis

10.12.2012
Dear Marina,
Thank you very much for replying to my email.
I really liked your cards . I'm not showing my students the photos, though.
I'd like to show them the cards when they arrive.
I'll also mail you our cards. I hope they arrive before Christmas!
One of my students' parents is from Georgia and you will find in one of the cards
a small note in Russian written by the student's mother!
Looking forward to receiving your cards!
Take care,
Chris Kiriakidis.

 Dear Chris Kiriakidis,

My name is Marina and I am from "Moscow school № 726".

You
are right. I made a mistake while registration in the Cambridge site.
I've just corrected the information obout my students' age. They are 11
and 12 years old. I have registered one class of mine which consists of
14 students. We will be really happy to be your partner and send you our
cards.

Take care,

Marina

06.12.2012
Dear Marina Vladimirovna,
My name is Chris Kiriakidis and I am from the "Anetopoulos -Hutton Language schools".
We seem to have been matched for the Penfriends scheme.
I have registered one class of mine which is consisted of 10 students.
My students' ages are 12 and 13 years old.
I saw in the cambridge site that next to your school's name there is an age range which says 'under 7 years'.
I would like to know whether the students taking part are of that age.
If that's the case then there is a bit of a problem as my students are older than yours.
Please let me know if that's correct so as to contact cambridge and let them know there's been a mistake.
If not and my students' age matches yours, then we are really happy to be your partner and send you our cards.

Take care,
Chris Kiriakidis.
